DUALIS

In the first year of my bridging program in Interior Architecture at the University of Antwerp, I was assigned, as part of the Case Study Time and Space course, to design a home with an integrated psychology practice within one of five selected townhouses.
I chose to create a classic family setup consisting of a mother, father, daughter, and son. The mother is an adolescent psychologist, and her practice is located in the attic to ensure the privacy of her clients. At the same time, a large skylight brings in natural light and creates a sense of openness, offering a subtle connection to nature without compromising discretion. The design carefully balances functionality and homeliness, seamlessly integrating work and living spaces.
